Becky M. Vonakis, Ph.D. is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. She joined the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology of the Department of Medicine in 2001 after completing postdoctoral fellowships with Henry Metzger, M.D. at the NIAMS/NIH and Susan MacDonald, M.D. at The Johns Hopkins University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of the American Association of Immunologists and the Hellenic Bioscientific Association in the USA. She is an Ad Hoc Reviewer for the Journal of Immunology, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Clinical Immunology, Allergy and Clinical and Experimental Immunology. In addition she is on the Editorial Boards of Asthma Allergy Immunology and ISRN Allergy. She currently reviews grants for the National Medical Research Council, Singapore. She lectures frequently on signal transduction in the immune system and is an author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications, reviews and book chapters.
