A Regents Professor at Oklahoma State University, a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine, and holder of the M.B. Seretean Endowed Professorship. He has over 300 publications and professional presentations which have been delivered on five different continents. His work has earned him the Regents’ Distinguished Research Award, the Inventor Recognition Award, and the OAHPERD Scholar Award. His research regarding sleep surfaces served as the foundation for having been named spoke person for the Better Sleep Council and arm of the International Sleep Products Association. He has also served the College Education as Head of the School of Educational Studies and as Interim Associate Dean.
