Biju Parekkadan

Biography

Biju Parekkadan serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and is an affiliated faculty member of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and the Broad Institute. Dr. Parekkadan also has experience in developing commercial products for life science and education, including a new stem cell therapy (Sentien Biotechnologies, Inc), an augmented/virtual reality app (Zyndo, LLC), and the science-fiction trilogy Sumeria (Dream Novels, LLC).  

Research Interest

Dr. Parekkadan’s laboratory is focused on cell and genetic engineering to create new medicines and model systems. His laboratory has expertise in engineering cell and gene therapeutics for translation. In complement to new therapeutic platforms, his group also applies engineering methods to create new assays for biomarker and drug discovery.
