Dato’ IR Abu. Bakar Jaafar

Biography

 He is awarded PhD in Marine) Geography from University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA in the year 1984.  He holds a Master Degree (MEn), Environmental Science from Miami University, USA in the year 1976, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Newcastle, Australia in 1972.  He has extended his valuable service as an Professor in  University of Technology Malaysia, Malaysia for since 2013 and has been a recipient of many award and grants. Currently, he is also serving as Director and Senior Principal Environmental Consultant at Enviro-LIFT Services. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.  His research interests as a Professor reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.  He is the Editorial Board Member of reputed Journals and serves as a member of various associations like Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Association of Environmental Consultants and Companies of Malaysia.
