Deepak Kaul

Biography

Dr.Deepak Kaul (born 21st May, 1953) earned his M.Sc degree from Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T), Kharagpur (WB) and Ph.D degree (1978) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), He evolved to become a creative scientific-thinker & educator in the field “Molecular Medicine”. During formative years of his Scientific career,  Linus Pauling. He took upon himself to develop “Molecular Biology Unit” (M.B.U) in the year 1983 after joining a leading National Medical Institute designated as “Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research” (P.G.I.M.E.R), 

Research Interest

Functional RNAomics of genes responsible for human diseases such as Leukemia; Coronary Heart Disease; Host-susceptibility to M.Tuberculosis and HIV-1 infection.
