Echezona E Ezeanolue

 Ezeanolue is a professor of Pediatrics and Public Health. He is the Director of the Global Health and Implementation Research Initiatives at the School of Community Health Sciences, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Ezeanolue’s research focuses on the use of implementation science and community-based participatory research approach to enhance the quality and effectiveness of population health services and reduce health outcomes disparities. He directs the only comprehensive maternal-child HIV program that has been instrumental to the reduction in mother-to-child HIV transmission in Southern Nevada. Dr Ezeanolue’s projects have been funded by private, state and federal agencies including the NIH/PEPFAR funded Healthy Beginning Initiative, a proven effective framework for maternal-child health interventions in resource-limited settings. He was 2010 Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow in the office of the Secretary for Health and serves on numerous national committees including: member of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), NIH international and corporative projects-1 study section, American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Committee on Pediatric AIDS, Patient Centered Outcome Research Initiative (PCORI) and the strategic Committee of the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Dr Ezeanolue has been recognized as Nevada Public Health Leader of the Year (2007), Nevada Health Care Hero (2008), Nevada Immunization Champion (2009) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Local Hero (2010) for his contributions to Public Health.
