Biography
Elena G. Zavyalova completed education at Chemistry Department of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2009, and she proceeds her postgraduate study in the field of bioorganic chemistry. Her research area covers aptamer selection, modifying, and studying their inhibitory activity in vitro and in vivo. The recent work concerns development of the perspective antithrombotic agents. In particular, a set of thrombin binding aptamers with G-quadruplex structure was characterized in terms of their effectiveness in enzymatic and blood-based assays, species specificity, exretion rates in animal models.
