Graduated in Nutrition from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1978) and Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of São Paulo (1992). He is currently an associate professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the field of Nutrition, with an emphasis on Population Nutritional Analysis, acting on the following topics: nutrition, anthropometry, athlete, nutrition and nutritional status.
