 Bastille Dr. Denis holds a PhD in psychology (Ph. D.) from Laval University. She is founder of insomnia treatment center and coordinates.The idea of ​​establishing an insomnia treatment center was born aware of her doctorate she has done to study sleep disorders center (CETS).Having developed an early interest in sleep, Dr. Denis Bastille built its curriculum so as to obtain the greatest possible experience in this field.So she served as a research assistant and clinician as part of several research projects to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of cognitive and behavioral treatments against insomnia. She participated in writing a book chapter on sleep difficulties experienced by night workers and various articles submitted to scientific journals. His thesis was also on cognitive and behavioral variables involved in the maintenance of sleep disorder related to the work schedule. This project won a grant from the Robert-Sauvé research institute in occupational health and safety (IRSST). Dr. Denis Bastille mainly uses cognitive-behavioral approach. His clinical placements were also oriented to deepen its expertise in this approach. So she began her clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapy Unit Laval University Advice Service with a clientele with anxiety disorders and mood disorders. She continued her clinical training at the University Institute in Mental Health Quebec (IUSMQ) to people with severe and chronic anxiety disorder. She also completed her training in the clinic team Our Lady of the Victories IUSMQ where she was clinical with young people with first episode psychosis. This experience allowed him to gain knowledge from different customers likely to experience sleep difficulties.Being from the Bas-Saint-Laurent, service accessibility is an important stake for Dr. Denis Bastille. Through teletherapy, she wants to break geographical barriers and provide specialized service to people no matter their location.
