Biography
Prof. van Gorp is currently working at the Erasmus MC Rotterdam, the Netherlands, appointed as Professor in Medicine, at the department of Viroscience and the department of Infectious diseases. Prof. van Gorp is focussing on exotic viral infections, among which the mosquito and rodent borne hemorrhagic fevers, HIV and Fever studies, with an extensive (inter)national network in the Netherlands, the Caribbean, Suriname, China and Indonesia. Prof. van Gorp is supervisor of the vaccination outpatient clinic and the clinical trial unit from the Viroscience department.
