Frederick N. Onyango

Biography

He is a Professor at University of Nairobi, Kenya since 1987.  He received a Doctoral Degree in Solid State Physics in the year 1974 from University of London, England, U.K, followed by a Diploma in Solar Energy in the 1982 from Simon Bolivia University, Caracas, Venezuela. He holds an MSc in Physics from University of Uppsala, Sweden during the year 1968. He served as a Professor for in University of Nairobi since 1987.  As a Professor, he is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. His research interests, as a Professor lie in Solid State Physics, New and Renewable Energies and Environmental Issues. He is the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals like National Academy of Sciences and Secretary-General of Solar Energy Society of Africa (SESA) and he is a member of Council, Kenya National Academy of Sciences. His area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
