He is the Director of National Center for Natural Products Research and Distinguished Professor, research Professor of Pharmacognosy Program Director for Federal Drug Administration Program. He has expertise in Analytical method development, botanical dietary supplements, drug discovery and development, natural products isolation and structure elucidation, pharmacy, natural products as models for drug design, research compliance and regulatory issues.  

Research Interest

His research Chromatography and Bionalyticals and articles includes Quantitative Determination of Curcuminoids from the Roots of Curcuma longa, Curcuma species and Dietary Supplements Using an UPLC-UV-MS Method.
