Biography
Jacques Thierie was born in 1949, in Brussels (Belgium). He is doctor of science and has a career devoted to teaching but especially to academic research. He in particular worked many years with Professor Ilya Prigogine, Belgian Nobel Prize of chemistry (1977). He is currently Scientific Collaborator in the Free University of Brussels, at the Interfaculty School of bioengineers. After having produced in thermodynamics of irreversible processes, he worked in biotechnology, environmental first and theoretical (bioreactors and chemostat…) afterward. It is currently in contact with Kobe University and plans to form an association devoted to the aquaphotomics, which constitutes his actually his main interest. He wrote a book about biological evolution, received a first price in pedagogy and is (among other) member of the American Chemical Association.
