Dr.Jan-Willem Taanman readedr in University Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Institute of Neurology, UCL. Dr. Jan-Willem Taanman and his team at the University College of London, U.K. are conducting UMDF-funded research to characterize in greater detail the assembly pathway of cytochrome-c oxidase, an important enzyme involved in mitochondrial ATP synthesis. Taanman research focuses mainly on the biogenesis of mitochondria and the role of mitochondria in disease. Dr. Jan-Willem Taanman has over 115 peer reviewed publications.
