Biography

Janine Shamos is working as a Senior Consultant, Trainer, Media Liaison SADAG,Resilience Therapist, Lecturer, Freelance Journalist.Janine Lisa Shamos has been working the in the field of mental health for 20 years.Through her articles and press releases, presentations and workshops, she has tried to create awareness about the issues of mental health. She is working as a Resilience Therapist, Lecturer, Freelance Journalist self from 2011 – Present (5 years) and Freelance Writer and Journalist freelance from 2009 – Present (7 years).She is also an official lecturer in English and Psychology in the Pre-Degree faculty. She finished her education in Bachelor's degree,Psychology at University of the Witwatersrand, UNISA from 1992 – 1996 and Studied a BA with majors in International Relations, Law and English in King David (Linksfield),King David High School Linksfield,and BA Psych (hon), English, Law and Psychology in WITS and UNISA. She is awarded with Pfizer Mental Health Journalism Fellowship Awards Pfizer (SA), Carter Centre (USA) in September 2010.
