Jonghoon Kang

Biography

Dr. Jonghoon Kang is an Assistant professor of the biology department at Valdosta State University Georgia USA. He obtained his BSc degree in biochemistry from Yonsei University in Seoul South Korea in 1987. He got his master degree from POSTECH majoring in life science in Pohang South Korea in 1993. Dr. Jonghoon Kang came to USA in 1996 to study cellular physiology and molecular biophysics at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Texas where he received a PhD in 2004. He did his postdoctoral training at the university and Virginia Bioinformatics Institute from 2004 to 2008. Since 2008 he has been working as an assistant professor at Valdosta State University where he teaches moleular cellular and quantitative aspects of biology. Dr. Jonghoon Kang is serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Biotech Research. He has published 21 papers as of 2010.
