Biography
Dr. Kamariah Long is synonymous with the study on Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and AVCO is her latest research finding. She has been announced as ‘Women Inventor of The Year 2006’ by International Federation Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) in appreciation of her significant achievement and one of the Top Research Scientist in 2012 by ASM.  She has been honoured and recognised both nationally and internationally for her research creativity and innovativeness. She had won numerous awards in the MARDI Science and Technology Exhibition, I-TEX and International Exhibition of Inventors, New Technique and Products of Geneva, Switzerland. In recognition of her contributions, MARDI has awarded Dr. Kamariah Long excellence Service Award in 1997, 2002 and 2006. In 2007, she has been awarded as the ‘Saintis Cemerlang’ award from MARDI.
