Biography

He is an Emeritus Emeritus Professor of Mathematics, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Mathematics, from U.C. Santa Cruz, 1977, USA. He completed his B.A. in Mathematics and B.A. in Computer Science, U.C. Santa Cruz, 1971. He is a visiting Researcher and Editorial Board member of American Institute of Mathematics. He is the Director of the AIM Open Textbook Initiative, 2010-present. He served as the Department chair for California poly technique state University during the years 1999-2008.

Research Interest

 Combinatorics of Algebraic Structures, Linear Algebra, Interger sequences, Matrices over finite fields, q-Exponential families, Bayseian Eigen value, Eigen values of random matrices over finite fields.
