Biography
Dr. Larisa Gubareva is the Lead of the Molecular Epidemiology Team in the Virus Surveillance and Diagnosis Branch, Influenza Division, at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA, USA. She has been an influenza virologist for over 20 years. In 2006, she joined the Influenza Division at the CDC. Her research and public health activities focus on understanding the mechanisms of drug resistance, methods for drug resistance detection and assessment of drug resistant viruses’ replicative fitness.
