Biography

Li-Li Huang completed her Ph.D. at National Taiwan University in 1996 supervised by Professor Kuo-shu Yang. Her research topics include indigenous Chinese psychology of harmony and conflict, national identity, ethical self, values, and gender issues. She started recently to focus on the learning and culture issues due to requirement of her institute of learning sciences.

She has been the chief-editor of Chinese Journal of Psychology since 2008 and has served in the executive committee of the Taiwanese Psychological Association since 2010. She also had been ever pointed to be the president of Taiwanese Feminist Scholars Association (2000-2001).

Her dissertation entitled “Interpersonal Harmony and Conflict: An Indigenous Chinese Theory and Empirical Studies” based on yin-yang perspective was regarded as the representative of third generation of Indigenous Chinese Psychology. The paper is about the Double Identity of Taiwanese Chinese and its psychological transition got the “The Misumi Award” respectively in 2005 and 2008 from AASP.
