Biography
Dr. Lingaiah Nagarapu, presently holding Principal Scientist at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad and Professor for AcSIR, New Delhi.His major research focused on "Design and Synthetic Development of Biologically Active Compounds" such as adjuvants, anti-inflammatory,anti-bacterial, anti-cancer and anti-tuberculosis; and involved in applied research for the Process Development for 15 Technologies and received CSIR-Technology award in 1996 from Director-General, CSIR, New Delhi. Under his supervision awarded 11 Ph.D degrees along with 40 M. Sc and 36 M. Pharmacy degrees.Published nearly 80 research papers in National and International Journals and 2 patents At present a group of 15 students are carrying out their research programme for Ph.D., M. Sc and M. Pharmacy degree.Delivered a number of invited lectures, keynote addresses in national and international conferences on "Bioactive Molecules" which were developed by his research group. As a Visiting Scientist at Dept of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Yeungnam University, South Korea during the year 2004-2005; and also selected his bibliography for Marquis book "WHO’S WHO IN THE WORLD-2007". Member of Royal Society Chemistry-London (MRSC).Author and drafting committee member of Chemistry Syllabus for Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University.Member Governing Body of Vanitha Mahavidyalaya Pharmacy College. PhD panel member of Osmania University and J. N. T. University, Hyderabad.Chairman Governing Body of C Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy.Reviewer for National and International Organic and Medicinal Chemistry Journals.
