Biography

have a background in respiratory medicine, with specific training and expertise in airway diseases and tuberculosis. I have the expertise and training, leadership and motivation necessary to successfully carry out the research projects. My research includes Asthma in children and adults, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Food Allergy and Tuberculosis. As PI or co-Investigator on several Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), European Union and GHES, NIH (USA) grants.

Research Interest

 Dr. Mahesh is presently attached to Allergy Asthma and Chest Center located in Mysore. This centre is involved in conducting clinical, epidemiological studies and drug trials in the field of allergy and asthma. Besides this, it also conducts patient education sessions and organizes camps for the needy patients suffering from allergy and asthma.
