Biography
Maria Gabriella Marchetti, after graduating from high school, he graduated in Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences the University of Ferrara in 1988 discussing a thesis entitled "Observations on the ultrastructure of vitellogenesis a Crustacean Concostraco" under the guidance of Prof. F. Zaffagnini. In 1989 he obtained the qualification to the profession of biologist and enrolled albo of Professional Biologists. In 1990 she won a competition for the post of Technical Assistant Scientific (VII qualification) of the Faculty of Sciences University of Ferrara and takes service January 1, 1991 at the Department of Biology and Evolution Section of Comparative Anatomy. Remains of role until November 1997. 'appointed visiting lecturer in the teachings of Cytology and Histology, Embryology and Experimental Morphology, Histochemistry Cytochemistry. In 1997 she won a contest for a job as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences University of Ferrara and takes service December 1, 1997 at the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Section of Comparative Anatomy. From 1 December 2000 belongs to the University Researcher confirmed (grouping of disciplines E02B, currently Bio / 06). And 'researcher representative in the Council of the Faculty of Sciences 1999-2001. Teaching From 1990 he worked for the performance of laboratories for Experimental Biology The Biological Sciences. Since 1993 he has collaborated to lectures and tutorials for the courses Cytology and Histology, Embryology and Experimental Morphology, Histochemistry and Cytochemistry Karyology. Since 2003 began to hold, for assignment, several courses of instruction: Comparative Vertebrate Endocrinology (Degree in Biological Sciences - 2003-04) integrated course Biology Laboratory I (Degree in Biological Sciences - 2004-05) Karyology (Degree in Biological Sciences - 2005-07) Histology (Degree in Biological Sciences - 2006-09) General Biology (Degree in Natural Sciences - 2007-08) Integrated Course of Morphology and Embryology (Degree in Biotechnology - 2006-present) Cytology and Histology (Degree in Biological Sciences - 2009-present) Since 2006 to date is responsible for certifying courses for the degree course in Biological Sciences, the activity of Orientation, Business Tutoring and tests verifying the minimum requirements for the Degree in Biological Sciences. Scientific activity 1. Electrophoretic characterization of isoenzymes in Sparids. Studies have been conducted to clarify genetically, phylogenetically and taxonomically relationships between different species of Teleostei. The research then proceeded to the biochemical characterization of soluble proteins in the muscle and the lens Sparids. Parallel investigations were carried out on the action of toxic substances (phenylhydrazine, cobalt chloride) on the enzyme activities of these fish and possible mechanisms of defense and recovery of damages. 2. Study of the morphological and physiological properties of erythrocytes by the action of oxidants. 3. Microbiological environmental monitoring of pollution and implementation of sanitation devices to prevent the onset of hospital infections. 4. Aspects of immunology in marine Teleostei: study the function of the immune system in order to optimize the bass a vaccination and study of the adaptations of the immune system in extreme environmental conditions (Teleostei Antarctic).
