Maria Isabel de Moraes-Pinto is graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1984), master's degree in pediatrics from the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1991), PhD in pediatrics from the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1996) and PhD in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2010). It is guiding the Graduate Program in Pediatrics and Pediatric Sciences at the Federal University of São Paulo since 2000. It has Specialist in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Is Professor, Department of Pediatrics Professor of the Federal University of São Paulo since 2006 and Head of the Discipline of the Research Laboratory of Pediatric Infectious Diseases since 1998. It is effective member of the Brazilian Society for Immunodeficiencies, effective member of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics and the European Society Pediatric Infectious Disease (ESPID). It is ad hoc advisor to FAPESP and periodicals such as Vaccine and Bulletin of the World Health Organization
