Biography
Advanced scientific and technical expertise in the areas of bioinformatics, B and T cell immunology, virology and molecular biology. Developed and employed numerous algorithms to support a wide-breadth of bioinformatics projects including: enumeration of antigen-antibody binding sites, building de novo RNA transcripts from next-gen sequencing, and B cell structure classifiers. Significant experience in building bioinformatics programs using Python, and the understanding of other languages such as C++, Bash, Java, R, and JavaScript. Expertise using next-gen programs such as Bowtie, ABySS, Oases, and Velvet to assemble genomes and transcripts. Highly adept in a broad range of laboratory techniques such as immunological assays, RNA/DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, cell culture, viral mutagenesis, gel electrophoresis, and small animal sciences. History of success in working under a matrix organization including multiple principal investigators, post-doctoral research fellows, graduate students and technicians. Authored and contributed to a number of manuscripts for publication in highly reputed scientific journals. Proficient in all major OSs: Windows, OSX, Linux, and major office programs: Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. Driven, attentive, resourceful and organized in the completion of tasks while continually engaging in new and significant challenges.
