Biography
Michael E. Portman is an clinical psychologist and an expert and supervisor in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).He is also an international authority on generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).He worked for over fifteen years in diverse settings, from community mental health to treating military personnel at the Cleveland Veterans Administration.He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University and The Ohio State University, supervising advanced students. He finished his education in DPhil from University of South Africa (UNISA,) M.S.W. from The Ohio State University,M.A from The New School for Social Research and B.A from The Ohio State University. He was awarded & honoured with Dean's List, The Ohio State University Alpha Delta Mu - National Honor Society The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Staff Person of the Year, Jewish Family Services, 2000.
