Biography

Dr. Nandakumar Mankavil Kovil Veettil is a faculty member at Salford Business School, University of Salford, United Kingdom. Prior to joining Salford, he was Associate Professor – Strategic Management at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK). While working at IIMK he was entrusted with major administrative responsibilities like the chairmanship of the International Exchange Programme and the chairmanship of Strategic Management. He teaches a number of courses at the MBA and Doctoral levels and also for the Executive Education Programmes. He has successfully coordinated the Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation project at IIMK. Nandakumar has worked as Lecturer at both Middlesex University Business School and East London University Business School. He has also worked as Marketing Manager and Area Manager in reputable organizations. He has published a few papers in leading academic journals and presented a number of papers for major international conferences. His paper published in Management Decision has been chosen as a Highly Commended Award Winner at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2011. He has compiled special issues of International Studies of Management and Organization (Taylor and Francis), Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management (Springer) and IIM Kozhikode Society and Management Review (Sage) as guest editor. His book entitled Organisational Flexibility and Competitiveness (Springer) has been published in May 2014. He has attended the Global Colloquium on Participant-Cantered Learning at Harvard Business School. He has supervised a number of PhD students.
