Biography
Dr Neha Sharma has received her phd in Biotechnology from Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry Nauni Solan (HP), India during the period of January 2010 to January 2014. Currently, she is working as Senior Research Fellow since 8th December 2011 in the very same University and shortly from 1st August 2014 she will be working as an Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Her Ph.D research has included “Studies on construction of frame work genetic linkage map of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni using molecular markers”, and Masters research included “Studies on genomics and
proteomics of a potyvirus infecting Cucurbita pepo L. (Summer squash) in H.P, India. Based on these researches and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as Best Publication Award 2011 by Sadhna (Society for Advancement of Human and Nature), Dr Y S Parmar UHF Nauni, Solan, India and Awarded 2nd Best Poster in the section of Plant
Molecular Biology & Biotechnology Presented at National Conference on “Perspectives & Trends in Plant Sciences and Biotechnology (PTPB-2014)” Organized by Department of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014, & Society for Plant Research (SPR), India.
She is serving as an editorial member/ Associate Editor of several reputed journals like Journal of Integrated Omics and Journal of Translational
Proteomics Research & expert Reviewers for journals like African Journal Agricultural Research (AJAR) http:// www.academicjournals.org/ajar. (8th June 2011), Journal of Biotechnology http://www.academicjournals.org/ajb (2nd September 2011), Journal of Biophysics and
Structural Biology (6th January 2012). She have authored 3 research papers, 3 review
articles and many others are submitted to various esteemed Journals. She has submitted two
virus coat protein gene sequences to NCBI. She is a member of Association of Biotechnologists of Himachal Pradesh India and stayed as a member of Anti-Ragging Committee in Dr Y S Parmar UHF Nauni, Solan, India.
