Nicholas F Quarrier

Biography

I graduated from Ithaca College in 1976 with a degree in Biology, then went on to study physical therapy at New York University and orthopedic physical therapy at the University of Indianapolis. I came to Ithaca College as a clinical assistant professor of physical therapy in 1989. Since then, I have returned to school and received a license in massage therapy from the FingerLakes School of Massage and a doctorate in physical therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, MO. My job at Ithaca College includes teaching orthopedic courses and working in the campus PT Clinic. I have a special interest in music-related injuries: run a performing arts screening clinic for injured performers and teach a Care and Prevention of Music-Related Injuries course. I am an APTA Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedics. I am also very interested in traditional chinese medicine and have taken students to China to study. I co-teach an Ithaca Seminar Course titled: Hello China: Preparing for the Future.
