Dr. Paul Kearney was awarded PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, Canada. He graduated from Queen’s University, Canada. He co-founded Integrated Diagnostics Incorporated in 1999 and serves as its Chief Scientific Officer and President. In 2008, Dr. Kearney joined the Institute for Systems Biology as Scientific Director of Special Projects. Previously, Dr. Kearney was Vice President of Bioinformatics at Caprion Proteomics, a leading provider of proteomics services for biomarker discovery. Dr. Kearney served as an Executive Director of Bioinformatics of Caprion Proteomics Inc. and Caprion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Kearney led Caprion's bioinformatics group and provides strong vision for the role of computational biology to support its therapeutic programs. He served as a Bioinformatics Research Consultant of Bristol-Meyers Squibb. Prior to Caprion, Dr. Kearney co-founded and served as Vice President of R&D at Bioinformatics Solutions (BSI). He served as a Director of the Bioinformatics Program at the University of Waterloo. Prior to BSI, Dr. Kearney was assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo where he was the founder and inaugural Director of the Bioinformatics Program.
