Biography

Dr. Pramod Kumar has received MCh in Plastic Surgery from Lucknow University (India) during the period of 1985 to 1988. Currently, he is working as Consultant Plastic surgeon in MOH, Saudi Arabia. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as HOD, Department of Burn and plastic Surgery. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: TMA Pai Gold Medal for Research (Manipal University), NH Antia Best Research Paper award (Association of plastic Surgeons of India, award for best teaching audiovisual materials, Lifetime achievement award. He has served as Editor Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery, he is serving as Editor of the Society of Wound Care and research and he is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Burns, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Chinese Journal of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, World Journal of Criticare Medicine, Journal of Society for Wound care and Research, Wound & expert Reviewers for journals like; Burns, Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. He has authored more than 150 research articles/two books and chapters in two books. He is a member of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, The society for Wound Care and Research, Lymphology Society of India. He has honoured as Visiting Professorships, honored on Doctors day by Medical Representative Association of Karnataka.

Research Interest

His research has included newer designs of flaps, Concept of intermittent negative pressure (Limited Access dressing).
