Dr. Prashansa Agrawal has received her PhD in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. Currently, she is working as Research Associate at University of Arizona. Her research work include structure elucidation of DNA G-quadruplex secondary structure that has recently emerged as a new class of cancer-specific molecular targets for cancer therapeutics. She has also worked on drug-DNA interaction studies to find out the potential targets for anticancer drugs, which may provide an insight into the rationale for structurally based drug design. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as AHSC Award for Excellence (Research), College of Pharmacy, The University of Arizona, 2013, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research- Senior Research Fellow - Life Sciences, 2005, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research- Junior Research Fellow - Life Sciences, 2002, Indian Council of Agriculture Research - Plant Biochemistry, 2001, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - Life Sciences, 2001. She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like International Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (IJBB), International Journal of Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences (IJIPS), Journal of Pharmacovigilance (JP), International Journal of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (IJMBB) & expert Reviewers for journals like Journal of Molecular Structure, European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, European Biophysics Journal and Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry. She has authored 10 research, 1 review and 2 editorial articles along with 20 article at national and international meetings. She is a member of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), Life member, Indian Biophysical Society (IBS), and Life member, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Society (NMRS) of India. She was an Associate Member, American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in 2011.
