Biography
 Banerjee qualified in 1988 and completed a Diploma in Cardiology in 1991, an MD in Internal Medicine in 1994 and MRCP in 1996. He trained in cardiology in the Yorkshire (Leeds) Deanery, between 1998 and 2004 completing a CCST in cardiology and general internal medicine before being appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in November 2004. His areas of subspecialty interest are heart failure, coronary angioplasty and cardiac imaging including echocardiography (transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography), cardiac MRI and cardiac CT. His particular interest is in heart failure, an area in which he has worked and researched extensively. His MD research was on diastolic heart failure. He has also submitted a PhD to Hull Univesity on exercise training in heart failure. He is the lead Cardiologist for the heart failure service in Coventry and Warwickshire and is involved in research in various aspects of cardiology. He consults on all aspects of cardiology and offers a service for coronary angiography, angioplasty, permanent pacemaker implantations and transoesophageal echocardiography.

Heart failure (including complex heart failure, diastolic heart failure or HFPEF); General cardiology including Ischaemic Heart Disease, valve disease, endocarditis: Cardiac imaging, Echocardiography (transthoracic and transoesophageal), Cardiac rehabilitation (including electrical muscle stimulation of the leg muscles), Cardiology and heart failure research.
