Biography

Dr. Qing-Yi Lu has received her PhD degree in New York University in 1995. She completed her Post-doctoral training in Rockefeller University in 1996. Currently, she is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Lu’s research has included the natural product chemistry, in vivo bioavailability of biological active compounds, assessment of the associations of diet, micro- and macro-nutrients and cancer risk, chemoprevention using plant-derived chemicals, and the identification of nutrition-modulated biomarkers using proteomics technique. Dr. Lu is expert reviewers for journals like British Journal of Cancer, Clinical Cancer Research and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. She has authored 60 research articles/books. She is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Society of Pharmacognosy, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
