R. Citarella taught the course of Machine Construction II (6 credits) at the Faculty of Engineering, degree in Mechanical Engineering, University of Salerno since January 200. He was also the Researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Salerno since January 2005. He was in the temporary contract, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Salerno in the framework of the European Research project e – Volution for the year 2004. he has done his Ph.D. in “Machine Planning and Construction” (XI cycle) at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Naples Federico II with a dissertation titled “Contact and fracture mechanics: analysis by Boundary Element Method (BEM)”, Tutor Prof. Alessandro Soprano, in March 1999. he has the membership of Italian Association for the Analysis of Stress (AIAS),Fracture Italian Group (IGF) and International Scientific Advisory Committee, First International Conference “Fatigue Damage of Materials 2003”, July 14-16 , Toronto.
Since 2005 he teaches the course of Machine Construction II (6 credits) at the Faculty of Engineering, degree in Mechanical Engineering, University of Salerno.
