Biography
Sakthikumar is a full professor and Co-Director of Bio Nano Electronics Research Center, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary New Science at Toyo University, Japan. Formerly he worked as a guest lecturer in Department of Physics, C.M.S. College for five years and classes were taken for M. Sc. (Solid State Electronics, Mathematical Physics, Statistical Mechanics, Molecular Spectroscopy) and B. Sc. (Nuclear Physics & Mechanics). Supervised fourteen students for their M. Sc. projects in different fields like Thin films, Optoelectronics and Ulatrasonics. He is a Member of Editorial Board - Scientific Reports (Nature Publication), Received Asian Excellence Award (2012) - From Society of Polymer Science Japan (SPSJ), Founder and Chairman of Indian JSPS Alumni Association, which is having now more than 250 members, American Chemical Society (ACS), American Nano Society. Delivered invited talks in several international seminar and Served as panel member in scientific advisory committee, organizing committee in several international seminars. He has 7 patents and published more than 100 research articles in various national and international scientific journals.  
Research Interest
  Sakthikumar's research interests include Aptamer bio sensors (RNA & DNA), Bio & Chemical sensors, Carbon nanotubes and Nano particles, Nanodrug delivery, Bio materials, Surface modifications of polymer films and other materials by plasma treatments for making use for different applications, Materials processing by R. F., ac, dc, (CW and pulsed) plasma polymerization, Thin film technology, Diamonds, Quantum Dots for imaging and for Solar energy conversion.
