Dr. Shayesta Dhalla has received her MD in the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a PhD in UBC during the period of 2005-2010. From 2010-2013, she served as a Guest Editor for the journal Current HIV Research. Currently, she is working as a Research Associate in the University of British Columbia. Dr. Dhalla’s research has included largely research on HIV vaccines. Based on this research, she has received the honor of one of her publications being chosen for World Biomedical Frontiers. She is serving as an editorial member of the Journal of Bioanalysis and Biomedicine and is a regional editor for Vaccine Segment. She has reviewed for many journals such as AIDS Care, AIDS and Behavior, PLOS One, Journal of AIDS and Clinical Research, and Human Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics. She has authored many research articles and also editorials on HIV vaccines in peer-reviewed journals.
