Biography
 Dr. Stephanie Sohl conducts behavioral research into cancer survivorship and other chronic illness care with a focus on integrative medicine. She aims to strengthen the evidence base for how complementary health approaches (e.g., mind-body practices, health coaching) can help people with cancer achieve better health.   Dr. Sohl's work adapts complementary health approaches so they can be integrated into conventional care. She received a Mentored Research Scientist Development Award (K01) from the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health to investigate the use of yoga to reduce fatigue in chemotherapy for colorectal cancer. Dr. Sohl also researches how mind-body practices can assist health care providers with supporting their patients.   Dr. Sohl earned her Ph.D. in Social and Health Psychology from Stony Brook University and completed postdoctoral fellowships in Cancer Prevention and Control at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Wake Forest School of Medicine with a focus on cancer survivorship and integrative oncology.
