Sue T. Griffin W

Biography

 Sue Griffin received both a bachelor's and master's degree in nutrition from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a doctorate in physiology from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine. Following the completion of her doctorate, Griffin was a fellow at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in medicine. Today she is a professor of pediatrics, neurobiology and developmental science, and medicine and physiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She is associate director of the Geriatric Research Education Clinic Center and the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. Griffin is also the vice chairman and professor of the Department of Geriatrics and director of Research at the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging at UAMS. Griffin is currently a member of the National Institutes of Health Reviewers Reserve, a member of the advisory board of the National Alzheimer Disease Association and a member of the executive board and medical and scientific advisory council for The Alzheimer and Related Disorders Association. In 1999 she received the Distinguished Faculty Scholar Award at UAMS.
