Truptesh H Kothari

Biography

Truptesh H. Kothari is board certified in Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from M.R. Medical College, Gulbarga, India. He completed his MS in Clinical Sciences at The University of Texas medical Branch at Galveston. His MS thesis and experimental work was based on smooth muscle motility and disorder. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from James J. Peters VA Medical Center – Mount Sinai Bronx Program, New York, He continued his education with Hepatology fellowship at SUNY Downstate, New York. He joined Lenox Hill Hospital for Gastroenterology fellowship in 2010. He will be pursuing advanced endoscopy fellowship in 2013 at Fox Chase Center, Philadelphia. He has published extensively on various research topics including motility, and endoscopic closure techniques. He is the ASGE video editing scholarship award winner.
