Biography
Using C. elegans, my lab models the adverse effects of the organometallic fungicide mancozeb (manzate) exposure on the nervous system. We are particularly interested in the degeneration of dopaminergic and GABAergic neurons. Our major focus is on mitochondrial function and free radical production. Additionally, we use various disease-related transgenic worms to explore gene-environment interactions.
