Professor Samson graduated in Medicine at the Catholic University of Rome, defending a thesis on the repair of meniscal injuries of the knee. At the same University, he subsequently specialized in Orthopedics defending a thesis on transplants for the treatment of osteochondral lesions of the knee cartilage.
After attending various hospitals abroad (US and Germany), in 1988 he returned to Italy where he organized and directed the Service of Pathology of the knee at the Hospital San Raffaele in Milan.
His areas of clinical interest and research are the pathologies of the knee, shoulder, foot, prosthetic surgery and sports traumatology.
