Dr. Yiu-Cho Chung got his Higher Diploma and Associateship in Electronic Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic (now Hong Kong Polytechnic University) in 1981 and 1982 respectively. He got his M.Phil in Electronics (specialized in Biomedical Engineering) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1988. In 1995, Dr. Chung went to USA to study Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. He got his Ph.D. in 1999 and joined the Center of Cardiovascular MR at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO as a staff scientist. In 2000, he joined the Cardiovascular MR Research and Development group in Chicago as a research scientist / staff scientist. Dr. Chung moved back to Hong Kong and joined the Paul Lauterbur Biomedical Imaging Laboratory of SIAT in November 2010. Dr. Chung has over 35 journal papers, 90 conference abstracts and 4 MR related patents. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Northwestern University since 2003. He is a member of ISMRM and SCMR. His current research interests are: fast MR imaging techniques, cardiovascular MR, vessel wall imaging and temperature imaging.
