Biography
Zong–Hong completed her Bachelor degree in Computer Science (software development) at Deakin University in Melbourne, and also holds a Bachelor degree in Medicine from China. She then went on to receive her Masters degree in Science from the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore by Bioinformatics Research. Since then, she has worked in bioinformatics research for about 7 years before coming to the Queensland Brain Institute. Her previous projects include protein sequence analysis for functional specialization, database establishment and maintenance, web server development, and microarray data analysis by data mining. At QBI, Zong-Hong has been responsible for building and maintaining a next generation sequencing data analysis pipeline for RNA-seq data analysis as well as pursuing bioinformatic processing and analysis for Illumina HiSeq 2000 sequencing data
