Biography

Professor Fingerhut graduated from Highland Park High School in New Jersey, received his bachelor’s degree in organic chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania and has delivered more than 1,000 lectures around the world. He has served as president of numerous associations, including the European Society of Trauma and Emergency Surgery and the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery. Professor Fingerhut is perhaps best known for his role as a founding member and secretary of the Surgical Association of Clinical Research in Europe, as well as the driving force and secretary behind the French Federation for Research in Surgery.
