Biography
Prof. Dr. dr. Med. Akmal Taher, Sp.U (K) finished his general practitioner education at the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia in 1980. After that, he took a specialization in urology at the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Indonesia and graduated in 1988. He then had a chance to serve as a research fellow at Hannover Medical School and Institute for Peptide Research, Germany (1990-1992) and obtained his doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in 1993. Prof. Akmal became a professor in 2006.
