Alceu Afonso Jordão Junior obtained in 1991, a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (in 1994) and a Ph.D. in Food Sciences. He has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho By the University of São Paulo (in 1998). He is currently a Ph.D. Professor at the University of São Paulo, Nutrition and Metabolism Course at FMRP / USP. He has experience in Experimental Nutrition and Bromatology, with emphasis on Free Radicals and Antioxidants, working mainly on the following topics: Free radicals, beta carotene, Vitamin E, Antioxidants and models of Liver Steatosis in animals.
