Dr. Passarotti uses a cognitive neuroscience approach and fMRI methods to examine the neurobiological mechanisms of cognitive and affective dysfunction in pediatric mental illness. She is working both with healthy and clinical developmental populations such as children with Bipolar disorder and ADHD. She is head of the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at the Institute for Juvenile Research at UIC.
