Biography
Ann Malley graduated with a BS in Nursing from Salem State College and an MS in Adult Primary Care from Northeastern University, and completed her PhD in Nursing at Northeastern University. She is currently on the faculty at Widener University. Dr. Malley's experience in nursing includes practice as a staff nurse in Surgical Critical Care and Trauma, Clinical Instructor in Medical Surgical Nursing, an Advanced Practice Nurse/ Nurse Practitioner in Specialty and Acute Care and as a Staff Specialist in Quality and Safety. Working at Massachusetts General Hospital has afforded her the opportunity to witness firsthand how research provides the basis for not only excellent clinical practice but also as a way to define and provide metrics that will improve the quality of the care provided. Dr. Malley’s goals future goals are to conduct research in an academic environment and contribute to the formal and informal education of future nurses.
