Biography
Started research at Center for Advanced Studies, Univ. of Calcutta in genetic toxicology in vivo/in vitro. Studied heavy metal Sn on human lymphocytes/mouse bone marrow for chrom. aberrations, sister chromatid exchanges, replication index, etc on biological/non-biological variables. Assessed genetic damage in MIC-exposed survivors of Bhopal. Screened genetic changes in buccal cells in ‘Khaini’ users at Ind. Statistical Instt. Studied radiation mutagenesis/bio-dosimetry by FISH/banding at BfS, Munich, & Bhabha Atomic Res. Center. Got involved in clinical & onco-cytogen.
